Ingredients

1 packet Homestyle Chili Seasoning Mix
2 lbs. (.908 kg) lean ground beef
6 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 ½ cups beef broth or lager-style beer
2 cans (796 mL each) diced tomatoes
1 can (540 mL) red kidney beans, drained & rinsed

Instructions

Brown meat in a large skillet over high heat. Drain off excess fat. Stir in Homestyle Chili Seasoning Mix and tomato paste until well combined. Add broth (or beer) and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and
simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add kidney beans. Simmer for another 15 minutes. Serve topped with sour cream, grated cheese, and sliced green onions. Great
served with corn bread or biscuits. Makes 12 servings.
